) used to be
SCROLLABLE while the app booted, so a visitor could drag a wall of headings
up into view, and on desktop it put a scrollbar beside the splash โ which
moved the logo ~7px left of where the app's own splash (SessionSplash) draws
it, so the hand-over jumped. The page also kept the browser's default 8px
body margin, which put the splash 8px low.
So while the app boots the page does not scroll: the text stays in the
document, in normal flow, below the fold โ nothing is hidden, moved or
faded, which is what keeps it progressive enhancement for crawlers โ and a
person sees the splash alone. The lock is a CLASS added by script, so with
scripting off nothing is locked and the links stay readable; it lifts on the
engine's first frame (the app owns the page from then), or after 20 seconds
if the app never boots, so a stuck page can still be read.
Here in , not in the seo block: the API's page renderer replaces that
block for every route but `/` (renderBody() in pagePreview.ts) and keeps
as it is, so only this reaches every page.
